Cooper Wedding!

It's wedding weekend and Pennington's Petals just finished a BEAUTIFUL purple and white wedding held in Cynthiana, Kentucky! As a last minute favor for a friend, I decided to take on the Cooper/Sellers wedding weeks before W-day (wedding day :)) The wedding was held at St.Edward Church in Harrison County with the reception held at the Elks! The bride had beatiful ideas that filled the chuch with gorgeous Picasso Calla Lilies, Lisianthus, and white/Purple roses. I was so excited and so happy to help a friend in need and have a the opportunity to design the floral for this amazing couple!

Giant white Callas submerged in a large cylinder with lights and pebbles ended the isle on each side of the shorter pews. A stunning arrnagement topped off the cylinder for a more elegant look. The pews were then decorated with a variety of the flowers used in all the designs .

The Elks was decorated beautifully with help from the Grandmother. All that was needed were little touches with these pretties! Two Picasso Calla Lilies submerged in a small sylinder with clear pebbles at the bottom for a more elegant look.

The Bridal Show Segment!!

Hey! So I hae some really exciting news! An old bank customer contacted me the other day (and I say that lightly, it was probably like a month ago) and works for an entertainment agency, which produces a show called "the Bridal Show"! Well, he asked me if I would be interested in making a 30 minute commmercial because a business that had paid for that time slot backed out at the last minute. Of course I was completely over whelmed and said YES! The night before the commercial I called the producer and asked what I should bring, what I should prepare for, etc. The producer proceeded to tell me that it wouldnt be just a regualr 30 second commercial; he had someone back out of a 15 minute segment! He then states that I need to be dressed nicely, and prepare for a full fledged interview! I panicked!

All in all the interview turned out great! I brought about 3 different arrangements ( a bouquet, and two types of centerpieces) and was asked several questions about the floral design business! AND.... don don don don!!!! The show airs THIS SATURDAY July 14th  at 1:30 on news Channel 36 for all you Kentuckians! Let me know what you think! Thanks so much!!!

Update! BUSY Months Ahead!

Once again, I'm sorry, Its been a while since I've written/ updated my blog. But! It's actually a good thing! I have been super super busy completing quotes, putting weddings in the books, and planning for a wedding in my very family! I couldn't be more happy for my baby sister and her fiance'. Her wedding is scheduled for July 20, 2013 and she has some AMAZING ideas! I cant wait to do the floral! In the meantime, I've got about 7 weddings coming up over the next 2 months and a wedding EVERY WEEKEND in September! Business is really booming and God has just truely blessed me. I'm doing what I love, and loving what I do!

I also am proud to announce that Pennington's Petals filmed a 15 minute segment for "The Bridal Show" which appears on news channel 36 sometime mid May! I made several different arrangements and what I thought was going to be a 30 second commercial, turned in to a 10-15 minute segment about my business and all the weddings that I've been blessed to be a part of! I'm really excited to see how everything turned out and how I sound/look on TV! (I told the videographer to make me more tan) Hopefully after the segment airs more people will be aware of the quality of work that I put into my designs and how much  dedication every bride/ customer receives from any design that is personally delivered to meet their specific event needs! I look forward to what the future holds for Pennington's Petals! More to come! (But dont hold your breath... it might be a bit!) :))
Life is what you design it!

Some of 2011 Weddings

Below are 3 pictures from my cousins wedding in Somerset KY. She chose to use Purple and white colors to accent her bridemaids dresses. She wanted to keep her boquet all white with some greenery mixed in for spunk. We used white stephanotism roses, white hydrangea with some green hypericum berry and fern. For the bridesmaids I used purple status, white roses and hydrangea. It was BEAUTIFUL!

Below are a couple pictures taken from the Cornachio wedding from December! She had more of a UK theme so we went with BLUE AND WHITE!  The bride and I went with White hydrangeas, painted blue, and white roses. Pictures of the bridal bouquet will be uploaded shortly, these pictures get credited to those who attended the wedding and posted them for the bride! Thanks! GO CATS!

More Weddings!

The two pictures above are of my best friends wedding on New years night! It was a feat being a bridesmaid and doing all the floral for the wedding as well, but everything was perfect! The bride chose red and white flowers to accent the bridesmaids dresses and a beautiful bouquet of all white roses and stephanotis for herself!

Below is another one of my best friends weddings that I completed, her wedding theme was "Tiffanies" and wanted every arrangement dripping in  Pearls and Diamonds. It made for a beautiful May wedding and I was proud to be a part of it!

Below is a Ranunculus Wedding! The bride even wanted a garland of seeded eucalyptus, white tulips and ranunculus for the flower girls to carry down the aisle, but what she asked for she received! Everything went so smoothly and she was very happy with her entire order!

Past weddings

This is a Wedding I completed all the way in Paducah! One of my best friends from college got married and I had the honors of arranging the hot pink, lime green and white wedding~ the roses really pop against the green kermit mums! It was the first cake I ever decorated and was pretty impressed if I DO say so myself!

This picture is really special to me! Why you may ask? Well, its from my own wedding and I couldnt have been more excited about how everything went! I wanted a "garden" look for myself and all my maids and I couldnt have dreamed of them turning out any better! I wanna shout of to my good friend Kristen Goodin, Regina Fristch, and her 2009 Floral Design Classroom for all their help with the wedding flowers

To the right, is the beautiful Bride Haley, who gave me the honors or designing her Summer Wedding. I'll never forget the Brinker/Tucker Wedding, it was the first time I completed TWO weddings in a 2 day Period! July 30 and 31!! WHEW! It was well worth it to see the faces of the Bride light up when she saw her arrangements for her special Day. Haley loves sunflowers and calla lilies, so I was able to mix it up a bit and include everything that she wanted.

Gorgeous pops of orange and hot pink! That's exactly what a co-worker of mine wanted for her wedding day! The colors turned out perfectly against the bridesmaids dresses, and boy did it stand out against the brides BEAUTIFUL white gown! The wedding was just as fun as the floral! Thank you Mr. And Mrs. Penn for letting me be a part of your grand day!

Everyday Occasions!

Here are a couple arrangements that I had delivered to a couple happy customers while at work! May it be a Birthday, Valentines Day, Bosses Day, or a Just Because Day, I hope to create any arrangement uniquely for your person in mind! SIDS

This is a funeral arrangement of Spider mums, pink Carnations, status, and various Daisies that I completed for a local business. It was designed for a little girl who had passed away from SIDS. As a mother I wanted to ensure that this design was special and sent with a lot of love and sympathy. I had less than a 2 day notice and it still turned out beautifully.
